The RPM service van has become a welcome and reassuring sight at block yards, concrete plants and quarries across the U.K. and Ireland. Our mobile workshop will come to your site to service or repair block machines and block strappers.

Spares

RPM supply mechanical, electrical and hydraulic spare parts, including tyres, spillage retainers, guide shafts, bushings, Wyclips®, snap rings, housings, pins, brake pads, sensors, filters, bearings, drive motors, timing belts, Hardox base plates and scrapers for a range of machines, plus Strapper canopies. We can provide a range of reconditioned parts including vibrator elements and rams.

Shipping options include Special Delivery, with air and sea freight for international orders.

Sales

RPM Block Machines work closely with leading mobile block-making and materials-handling equipment manufacturers, and can assist and advise with the purchase of new machinery and mould boxes.

We also provide re-conditioned block-making and strapping machines.
We carefully select and refurbish these machines ourselves to ensure they will provide you with years of good service.
All refurbished machines are thoroughly and extensively tested before despatch.
We can deliver and commission your machine, in the U.K. or Ireland.

Safety Awareness Training

Anticipating that Safety Awareness training will become a mandatory requirement in the future for all machine operators in the block production industry we have now acquired the necessary skills to provide such training. Using Peter’s decades of industry experience and in-depth knowledge of mobile block making and strapping machines we have designed an Operator Safety Awareness training course specifically for the machines commonly used in Ireland and the UK.

Course Content

Four trainer-led, classroom-based* sessions on the theory and practice of machine safety procedures, plus two outdoor** machine-based sessions which put into practice the theoretical material covered in the classroom sessions, for both block making and block strapping machines. Classroom sessions involve:

Introduction
Powerpoint presentation, which includes:
- Risk assessments
- Duty of care - Employer & Employee
- Working at height
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Hydraulic injection injury
- Machine safety features
- Main causes of accidents
- Daily safety checks
- Health & Safety Legislation
Video presentation on block-maker safety procedures for mould change, frame height adjustment and washout procedure.
Theory test on block machine and block-strapping machine safety awareness.
- Participants are taken through the Operators pre-use daily check and safety awareness procedures step-by-step.
- Each participant individually completes an actual check sheet.
- All participants complete the course sign-off procedure.
We issue a course certificate, for participants who have fulfilled all the course requirements, and an attendance record to your company contact by email.
[It is worth noting that one of our major customers has adopted and now uses the RPM-designed check sheet procedure.]

NOTE
* “classroom” means a room on your premises with enough space and seats for 6 people. Trainer uses laptop& projector, with blank wall space of approx. 2 x 3 feet as a screen.
** “outdoor” ideally means a well-lit and ventilated workshop or covered area with a minimum of 2.1 metres horizontal and vertical clearance around each machine.

Our JEB qualified trainer has over ten years’ experience in the training field and now specializes in Safety Awareness training. We have also acquired the necessary Professional Indemnity insurance to allow us to deliver such training.
